One of the things we have noticed is there is not a lot of representation for the 50+ community out there. There are a plethora of people to follow when it comes to health, nutrition, exercise, and relationships for the under 50 crowd, but what about those of us in the part two...ish of life?
When you hit part two...ish, life becomes a little different. Many are in the “sandwich” phase of life ~ still dealing with children (at varying ages and differing life phases), and now in many instances, adding aging parents to the mix, that often require assistance.
Some are still married to their “one true,” and many are still seeking the lid to their pot; wondering will I find that person to spend the remainder of my life with?
For some, the concept of health and wellness came early to them, some are playing catch up, trying to countermand the 80’s (ahhh...the 80’s the time of excess and AquaNet); and for some, sadly, their health has taken a toll and the struggle is truly real. And, some of us just fall right into the middle.
One of the goals of this blog is to share what we are doing from a part two...ish perspective specific to our relationship, nutrition, and exercise. We are far from experts ~ and I mean VERY FAR, friends! More, we are just two people, in a relatively new relationship, looking at ways to enhance our health and well-being, while creating our version of a “best” relationship. We want to share what is working well for us; and YUP! We will even share those things that went horribly south (I mean honestly, those are the stories that really resonate, after all!).
Let’s make this a community of people that share what is working and what hasn’t, perhaps, worked out quite like we had envisioned.
